Pastor Ruth Ntumba Cienda has worked as a Pastor for more than 25 years. She is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly called Republic of Zaire ). She is married with three children. After escaping a war torn region during the reign of President Mobutu Sese Seko, Pastor Ruth by the grace of God managed to escape along with her family to Kinshasa, the capital of Congo. It was in Kinshasa that the Lord opened doors for her to come to America for the sole purpose of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Upon her arrival in New York in 1991, Pastor Ruth started preaching Jesus Christ in the streets, subways and buses of New York City .

She didn't speak English therefore using writing papers, she wrote bible verses and messages such as "Jesus loves you".
Soon after, the Lord instructed her to start a church. God's Victorious Army Church began in Harlem. This was a small bilingual French and  English church linking several nations. Just like any church, this one struggled in the beginnings but through hard works and dedication, the gates of hell did not prevail against her.

As Pastor of God's Victorious Army Church , Pastor Ruth traveled extensively throughout the world preaching deliverance and healing to the nations. Her first big event in New York brought together people from all nations and featured Doctor Rebecca Brown (Author of " He came to set the captives free " and many more). During this convention, Doctor Brown, led by the Holy Spirit told Pastor Ruth that the greatest weapon in spiritual warfare is Worship and The presence of God. This statement enlightened Pastor Ruth to seek the Lord even more.

Thereon, a wave of praise and worship hit the church. As we got deeper into worship, the Lord started to physically manifest Himself through gold dust, and we would see angel feathers appear on the carpet during the services. Because of lack of knowledge and revelation on these manifestations at that time, many left the church. "One Sunday morning as I arrived in church with my children" says Pastor Ruth, "I found the church empty." All the members had left. I asked my children to go back home as I sought the Lord. I cried before the Lord asking Him to bring back the people. The Lord told me: "These are my people, I took them back for myself; you seek me! If you want the people, I will give them to you but I will take my presence from you."

If you read Ezekiel 1:24-25, the bible tells us that when we worship, the angels (Cherubim) lower their wings. The Cherubim are the mighty angels who guard the glory of God. Genesis 3:23-24 is a perfect example. Man was cast out of the Garden of Eden; the place of Glory and God sent forth two Cherubim with flaming swords to guard the entrance of the garden. When we worship and the glory of God comes down, these angels come and cover the glory. Therefore, in order to see the glory, you must pay a price. You must go beyond the Cherubim. Romans 3:23 says: "For all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory." We've fallen short because the angels guard the glory and you must pay a price to get this glory back.

From New York, Pastor Ruth was instructed by the Lord to move to the Dallas Metroplex for the great revival for all nations that would start in Dallas, Texas. God gave her a new message: “The glory of God.” This is an end time message. Grace and Glory Ministries was born and is accomplishing its God given mission.

We teach about the glory of God and His presence in our conventions, seminars and services. What is the glory? The glory of God is the presence of God; the manifest presence of God. It is the atmosphere of heaven on earth. The glory restores lives, families, cities and nations. The glory of God is not gold dust or angel feathers. It is God divine presence. No one can fabricate God's presence. You can fabricate the anointing but not the presence of God. When He comes, there are signs and wonders. Gold dust is just a manifestation. Do not worship it. We all must worship the resurrected Jesus, our Savior and Lord.
